Matt and Kara got married on September 21st at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Downtown Raleigh. Anybody who has ever grown up in the South has definitely heard Earth, Wind, and Fire’s classic song, “September”, which specifically references the 21st day. This song obviously made it to the dance floor, but it was mentioned so much throughout the entire planning process. Planned, perhaps!?
Matt has been a coworker of mine for almost six years now and through him, I met Kara. We usually hang out once a year at our Christmas holiday party. Together they are a power couple and have everything going on for them. Personally, I know Matt kills it at his job. He oversees a large group of companies with 100 locations across the entire country. And within the last year or two, they bought a house together.
There wedding wasn’t anything short of perfection! From the beautiful stained glass in the catholic church to the amazing light that filled their reception space, their entire day was full of beauty. This might have been one of the longest portrait sessions I’ve ever done for a wedding, but I wasn’t complaining as it’s always my favorite part. I feel like we traveled all over the city!
